Description

I found these two butterflies dead on a ground over a period of few months in spring and summer. Very sad, there is less and less of them visiting my yard...😢 With my still life, I tried to connote a sense of mystery, and a sense of loss.

So very beautiful yet very poignant. I have a lilac tree in the front of my house where usually in the late spring, it is full of happy butterflies, Eastern Tiger Swallowtails and also Clear-Wing Hummingbird moths (yes, in the daytime). Over the last few years there were less and less of them. This year, I did not see one. This reiterates the feeling I got about the butterflies this year. Beautiful work, Yvonne. Maggie

Wonderful feeling to this image. My mind asks whether the butterflies are dead, or just waiting to come to life again. Love the mystery in your images. I enjoy working with that myself whenever the ideas float through me. As you can see, I am really enjoying browsing through your work.

Thank you very much I'ina, for your comments. Unfortunately the butterflies were dead, I found them on a ground over a period of couple of months in summer. Very sad, there is less and less of them visiting my garden... Thank you very much for appreciating a sense of mystery in my works. I try to connote that when the subject matter inspires me.
