Description
"Julia" is a study of light and dark, and where texture and controlled line build the form. Done as fine art lithograph on limestone, hand pulled by the artist. Lithography is a laborious technique introduced in Germany in 1796 and today practiced primarily by fine art printmakers.

The study of light and dark. You have really pulled it off here Yvonne. When I look at this stunning work of art, I can't help but wonder how many hours you spent on her. Amazing.

Thank you so much John for your kind words. The drawing was done directly on a limestone block, and yes it took a while. Afterwords, the stone was etched with acid, which is always a bit scary process of how the drawing holds up against the treatment. Your kind comments are greatly appreciated!
