Description
When in Paris on vacation, I took a lot of pictures of beautiful, lovingly preserved 19th century buildings and their magnificent interiors. Witness to the golden age of Paris, or La Belle Epoque, as it is often referred to, is the famous Opera Garnier - a home to the notorious Phantom-of-the-Opera villain who inspired Webber's musical. As I stood on the second floor balcony admiring the breath-taking view that stretched out in front of me, I thought it must have been exactly this view that the Phantom-of-the-Opera admired hidden from view behind the heavy curtains...
