Description
In the relm of the surreal, one may choose to avoid explaining oneβs work, arguing that it may flatten the intuitive meaning of art somehow; distort the subtle and often personal message intended to be deciphered by the viewer. And, the deciphering process of a phantasmagorical work of art is the whole point in enjoying surrealism.
Yet, to answer any such inquiry, this work is part of the series: Saints and Sinners. The mythical Mother Earth is portrayed here as a Medieval deity, and a source of all living beings and inanimate things. Yet, today she appears soiled, neglected, troubled, and polluted.
