This is my pen and ink rendition on paper, a copy, of the "Madonna With A Monkey" work by a German Renaissance artist Albrecht Durer. One of the original engravings printed by the artist circa 1498 was sold at Christie's in 2013 for $86,500. Various prints of this image still float about, as the entrepreneurial Durer printed various editions - being one of the first commercial artists in a modern sense. Another such engraving is currently in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC, and one in Vienna at the Albertina Museum.

I am a multimedia artist with a Master of Art degree in art history, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting and drawing. I have had a rewarding career in fine art, encompassing international awards and works in public and private collections. Currently, I own and operate a small art gallery/artist's studio in Jim Thorpe, PA dedicated primarily to showcasing my works. My art practice explores a variety of mediums, privileging acrylics on canvas or wood, which springs from my earlier interest in egg tempera. I am also proficient in printmaking techniques, but equipment access restrictions limited my output.
