Description
Work currently featured in Art Of The State 2023 exhibit at the State Museum of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg. The exhibition runs from September 10, 2023 to January 7, 2024. Over 1,915 works were submitted for consideration by 559 artists, and 86 works were selected for this year's exhibition.
My painting narrates the psychological implications of life in isolation, especially as experienced by young people - the cognitive anxiety and the bewilderment of it all globally experienced during the Pandemic lock-downs. And while protective social distancing puts our lives on hold, it does not eliminate from our minds the psychological dread of personal danger (signified by the rat).

I am absolutely trilled at the news I received that my work has been chosen to be exhibited in Art of the State: Pennsylvania 2023 at The State Museum of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg. The were over 1,915 works for consideration, and the jurors selected 86 for the exhibition. My original painting will be on display in Harrisburg from September 10, 2023 to January 7, 2024.

I love this painting. Her eyes show so much emotion in them. The colors are subtle and with blue and cloudy sky in the background from your window just brings it all together. Such emotion on this young woman’s face. This is a gorgeous painting. One of my favorites.
